Meet Jamey
Greetings, fellow humans and non-humans! My name is Jamey, but you can call me the Crocs-and-Socks King. I’m a mass communication graduate from the dinosaur era of 2002 (you know, when social media was just a twinkle in Mark Zuckerberg’s eye), and I was born in the ancient times of 1980.
I’m a family man, married to my beautiful wife Camila since 2015. We welcomed our son, Milo, into the world in the middle of the pandemic in 2020. He’s a feisty little guy, and I’m convinced he’s going to be a professional hockey player one day (or maybe a professional karaoke singer).
When I’m not changing diapers or chasing after Milo, I’m working as an Audio-Visual pro at a resort near Walt Disney World. Speaking of Disney, I’m a huge fan and a proud passholder to the happiest place on earth. I’m also a die-hard hockey fan, with The New Jersey Devils being my favorite team, but the Tampa Bay Lightning have snuggled their way into my heart (don’t tell the Devils).
I’m also a dabbler in woodworking (emphasis on “dabbler”), playing computer games, and watching NASCAR. And let’s not forget my DJ and Karaoke KJ skills. I can throw a party anywhere, just ask!
Now, let’s talk fashion. I know what you’re thinking: “Crocs and socks? Ew.” But my teenage niece Lara told me I was unfashionable, so I had to own it. Hence, the title of this blog, Socks with Crocs. Don’t worry; I won’t judge you if you prefer sandals with socks or high heels with sweatpants.
Lastly, I want you to know that I value your opinion. But let’s be real; it’s unlikely to change mine. So, buckle up and join me on this wild ride of crocs, hockey, and everything in between!
